HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTY BY O!

You guys. I am so excited to finally be writing this! I have been thinking about starting a blog for the longest time, but never put an action behind it because... ya know, life. I started a "beauty" blog my sophomore year of college (ended it there too), but I have missed it so much! I have a ton of fun things planned for this already and fingers crossed that I keep up with it. Even if no one reads this, I will feel better because it's yet another creative outlet for me. If you know me, you know I'm full of information and ideas.

Since you're already here, I'll take the time to tell you a little about how I got started on this journey. I started Beauty by O in the spring of 2016 (May 16th to be exact). At the time, I was working part-time at Estee Lauder in addition to my full-time job. I initially took the job as a seasonal, hoping that I would be offered a permanent position so I could have some professionalism under my belt to start my business. I actually wanted to start freelancing my freshman year of college, but didn't have the means, time, or skill set even though it was always a thought in the back of my head. Once I started working for EL, I was working with clients, learning about skincare, and learning about basic makeup application on others (SANITATION).

I quickly realized that my skill set was worth way more than I was being compensated for at EL, so I decided to spread my wings and fly. I have loved every second of owning my own business. It has taken me through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in two years, but I wouldn't change a thing. I have grown beyond measure and it has taught me so much. It's a lot more fun working hard for and learning about something you're passionate about. I never thought I would be as passionate about anything as I am about freelancing. It's been a wild journey and I'm happy you guys are willing to ride this wave!

Please make sure you subscribe and follow me on my socials so you don't miss a post! Thank you so much for all of your continuous support. Running my own business has changed my life and I'd still be sitting here wondering "what if" if it wasn't for you guys.

I say it all the time, but I love you all so much!

Peace n Blessins'

O
